CSULB All-Campus Budget Meeting on March 26, 2008

Dear CSUEU Members and Friends,

Three years after barely recuperating from major cuts to the CSU budget, we are once again wrestling with a proposal that will cut deep into the fiber of each of our lives. We cannot sustain additional cuts, further staff reduction, or attempts to undermine our valuable trained staff. In light of proposed budget cuts of over 312 million dollars, we encourage each of you to make a powerful statement that the CSU will no longer be used as a scapegoat for California’s troubled economy. You have the power to make this change!

Prior budget cuts left YOU to absorb additional workload of positions that remain unfilled. We must take a stand and no longer sit quietly by the sidelines. Our voices must be heard loud and clear.

Mark your calendar for the CSULB All-Campus Budget Forum on Wednesday, March 26 from noon to 2pm at the Speakers Platform in front of the Campus Bookstore. The proposed cuts are not inevitable. We need volunteers to assist answering questions at information tables regarding the budget crisis during this and other events. Your participation is essential. We must make a powerful statement that we are overworked, underpaid, and are not going to take it anymore. Contact a union rep today.

We will see you there!
